Talk-free access to urgent care. Your way, on your time.

When you're under the weather and feel sick, sometimes it's hard to talk to anyone - let alone a doctor. And if your schedule is packed, finding the time and privacy can be nearly impossible. Jumping on a video or phone call isn’t always convenient. MDLIVE E-Treatment makes getting the care you need easier with no calls or live conversations required.

MDLIVE E-Treatment helps you connect to quality urgent care in a way that's easiest for you. Dr. Christina Chen, MDLIVE Senior Medical Director of Asynchronous Care, explains why MDLIVE E-Treatment is one of our most convenient care options.

No need to chat live. Just share your symptoms with a board-certified doctor.

No calls or talking.

Patients often feel like phone or video interaction isn’t necessary. And many times, it isn’t. For those cases, MDLIVE E-Treatment is a safe, hassle-free care option.1 And it helps people more effectively manage their care instead of waiting until their symptoms get worse or not getting care at all.

  • 1Patients who don’t have E-Treatment available to them will not see it as an option in the MDLIVE patient portal.

"Although there's no need for a live interaction, you still have access to the
same doctors and quality care as a live MDLIVE Urgent Care visit." – Dr. Chen

Same quality care. More convenience.

Once you log in and select the "E-Treatment" option, you'll answer a health assessment about the symptoms you're experiencing. For example, if you have ear pain, you'll be asked to describe your symptoms and how severe they are, plus general health questions so the doctor can get a good picture of your overall health. The symptom assessment takes about 8 to 10 minutes on average.

  1. Once you’ve submitted your completed health assessment, an MDLIVE board-certified doctor will review your responses.
  2. Based on the doctor's evaluation of your condition, you'll then receive a diagnosis and treatment plan, with prescriptions sent to your preferred pharmacy, if medically appropriate.2
  3. Your MDLIVE doctor will let you know if your condition requires a live virtual visit or even an in-person visit.3

MDLIVE E-Treatment is fast and safe, and we can effectively treat more than 100 non-emergency conditions. Interviews can be taken in English and Spanish.4

  • 2Prescriptions are available at the physician’s discretion when medically necessary.
  • 3If your MDLIVE doctor believes your condition requires a higher level of care, they can quickly and easily move you to a phone or video consultation so you don't have to start your visit over.
  • 4Care plans are currently delivered in English.

Avoid the digital rabbit hole.

As one of our multiple care options, MDLIVE E-Treatment is perfect for those patients who have a tight schedule or prefer to get care without the live interaction. Before you spend hours searching your symptoms online without getting any real answers – which can lead to a condition known as cyberchondria – use MDLIVE E-Treatment and get quick, trustworthy care from a board-certified doctor.
